Atty. Maureen A. Martin
About Me
I’m Maureen Martin, a family law attorney who has been achieving positive results for my clients for more than three decades. I’m a tough and efficient advocate for my clients. I provide clients with my undivided attention. I can be both your advocate and your litigator. I’ve litigated thousands of matters. I often use mediation and collaborative law to find alternative resolutions. My experience allows me to work quickly and effectively for my clients. No matter what your family law issue, I have experience with it.
I graduated from the State University of New York with a B.A. in 1979. I moved to Vermont in 1980 to attend Vermont Law School. I went on to receive my Juris Doctorate from the VLS in 1983. I opened up my own practice in Woodstock, Vermont in 1987. My practice is primarily focused in Family Law, Juvenile Law, and probate matters.
I grew up in upstate New York, on Lake Champlain. I attended elementary and high school in my hometown of Plattsburgh.
I decided in the 5th grade that I wanted to be a lawyer, because I was “that kid” who always stuck up for someone who was being made fun of or bullied at school. I know I made the right decision.
